December is just days away and this month in particular can be a blur. So, this is your reminder to take some time to set your intentions for this month because you deserve to enjoy it just as much as everyone else. Here are some resources to help you create the right December for you!
Write
This is the season of yes. There are holiday parties, gift exchanges and sometimes tons of family traditions. While on paper, the holidays are all supposed to be magical and bright, they can also be stressful and draining. Well, here's your chance to say yes to your wellness too. Write 5 things you're prioritizing or giving yourself permission to do this Christmas. Here are a few of mine as an example:
I'm saying yes to sticking to my budget regardless of the sales
I'm saying yes to spending time alone to pray, meditate or journal
I'm saying yes to asking for help around the house
Eliminate
40% of people will snoop in their hosts bathroom if given the opportunity. We can talk about how wrong that is another time but the real takeaway here is that this is the perfect time of year to declutter those bathroom drawers and cabinets. That means getting rid of the makeup from 2004 as well as the hair products you tried that were a giant fail. Give yourself the gift of clean spaces and wowed guests this holiday season!
Learn
Take your holiday cards or tags to a new level by adding QR codes. Send your recipient to a document, video or website that gives them more information about your gift. All you need is google chrome and some creativity. Here's a 1 minute video I created for you showing you how to create your own QR code. This would be a fun way to give a gift to the techie in your life.

In our home, we use the Want, Need, Wear, Read rule to purchase gifts for birthdays and Christmas but I stumbled upon a new way to spread holiday cheer without forgetting the true reason for the season. Just like the Wise Men, you can give each person in your family 3 gifts: Gold (something they want), Frankincense (something that helps them take care of themselves) and Myrrh (something to help their spiritual development).
Don't forget to slow down and do the things that fill you up this holiday season..
