This won’t be a long one but it’ll be an honest one. While I’m big on reflecting often throughout the year, there is just something special about a no-holds barred end of year check-in. First, I invite you to listen to a podcast I created at the start of 2023 but never shared. In it, I reveal the 3 big goals I planned to accomplish this year and it’s so funny now to hear all the uncertainty in my voice. You can listen here.
So, did I actually complete my goals? Let’s break it down.
Host journaling workshops: I hosted 1 virtual workshop and 4 in person group journaling sessions in 2023. One was a guided session with over 200 teachers and the other was at a women’s intimacy retreat with 40 attendees. If you listen to the podcast, you can tell that the girl (me) speaking was nervous about hosting small, monthly workshops over zoom. Never in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined that I would present at large, in-person events and get authentic engagement. It just reminds me that I can’t wait for confidence to show up before I act. It usually works the other way around. Action creates confidence. This has been my biggest lesson in 2023.
Offer 1:1 coaching sessions: I worked with 2 clients in the beginning of the year which was absolutely amazing but in order to work on other projects, I chose not to work with individual clients for the remainder of the year. While I missed working personally with clients, the trade-off was necessary for me to not only have the right amount of energy to show up joyfully in my business but at home as well.
Publish the Wellthy Mama Guided Self-Love Journal: Not only was I able to release my journal this year but I have sold 250 of the 300 in just over a month. If you don’t have one yet, you can click here to get yours while supplies last. At the start of the year, I still wasn’t sure if 5 people would buy any journal I put out into the world and here we are almost sold out before the year end. God continues to show me that dreaming big, while scary, is not only for kids and with His help, we can do wild, crazy, amazing things that make the world and our own light a bit brighter. So take the step. It feels oh so wonderful!
So there you have it. While I didn’t accomplish everything I set out to do in 2023, I wouldn’t change this year one bit. I hope I have convinced you to not only document your goals for 2024, but to take some time to reflect on all you were able to do this year. It may not look like what you expected but you might be better for it.
A very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year to you and yours. I pray you make time to celebrate your past wins, savor your present moments and dream bigger for your future!
