I’ve been paying attention to how I feel as I scroll through books, podcasts, blogs, and news. And honestly? A lot of it stresses me out.
I was on YouTube researching Substack (btw, I’m back to the Stack, baby), and while there are some incredible creators out there, I kept running into titles like:
Make $100K in 30 Days!
Get 100 Clients With This One Simple Trick!
Grow to 10,000 Subscribers Overnight!
And it hit me…
No wonder we feel like we’re behind before we even start.
These messages make us believe that success is instant, that we should already be further along, that if we’re not moving fast enough, we must be doing something wrong.
And for so many working moms, this shows up as:
❌ If I could just wake up earlier, I’d have more time.
❌ I need a better planner to finally get organized.
❌ Next week I’ll start fresh and finally feel in control.
But here’s the truth: God is not rushing you.
The world will tell you to hustle harder, but God is calling you to slow down, listen, and trust that He is working—even in the moments that feel stuck, even when the next step isn’t clear.
When I Almost Forgot This…
A few days ago, I found myself falling into the same trap.
I clicked on some of those “false promise” videos, hoping they’d show me the way. For a moment, I forgot what I truly wanted and started chasing a shortcut.
Luckily (we know it’s God, right?), I caught myself. I felt the pull of that doubting Thomas rabbit hole and stepped back to reflect.
That’s when I stumbled across this quote from Austin Kleon’s Show Your Work:
"Think more about the process than the product."
And it was the exact reminder I needed.
What Actually Works
God isn’t asking you to do more. He’s asking you to trust more.
✔ Instead of adding more, start subtracting.
✔ Instead of forcing control, make space for surrender.
✔ Instead of waiting for someday, be obedient in the smallest step today.
Because time isn’t just about doing more. It’s about choosing better.
If You’re Ready to Create More Time and Peace…
As a time management coach for busy moms, I help women create space for what actually matters—without adding more to their plate.
If this is you, reply to this email and tell me one thing that’s draining your time right now, and I’ll send you back one simple shift you can make today. No pressure—just real help.
Because small shifts lead to big change. And sometimes, the next step is simpler than you think.
So very true mama
My biggest client chose to go with another firm that could provide her with all the services she needs as she is growing her business. I was so relieved. Then for a second I thought of the loss of income. But I still felt like the great weight was lifted. I just thanked God, thanked Him for His provision. He feeds the birds, how much more He will do for us that He loves.
Little is much when God is in it! I thankful for less stress.
