Monday gets such a bad wrap but if we’re honest, the anxiety and overwhelm we all feel starts as early as Sunday. If you’ve never heard the term “Sunday Scaries”, this is what it looks like:
Your mind starts racing thinking about the big presentation, client meeting, and project deadlines you have to tackle in the upcoming work week.
You grieve knowing you won't have another free Saturday morning to sleep in and lounge with coffee in your pajamas.
You worry about the pile of untouched laundry, unpacked groceries, and unfinished home project list that didn't get done on the weekend.
You stress about getting all the kids' school projects, permission slips, and activities coordinated for the start of a new school week.
You feel overwhelmed thinking you'll never catch up on sleep or have downtime again after racing around all weekend with the kids' sports tournaments and birthday parties.
You feel mentally exhausted after spending all Sunday afternoon prepping for the week ahead.
I know full well that Sunday can feel like an end instead of a beginning but today, we’ll walk through one process that helps me feel less stressed at the start of each week.
